New week, new letter! Hey everyone, welcome a new week! Hope you’re all having a great start to your week so far. Before we get into today’s newsletter, let’s recap
🗞️ Round-up of Lessons in Seasons
Let’s get into today’s encouraging word: remember this —
Everything will become beautiful in its time.
⏳
All things will become beautiful in its time, but whilst you are waiting to see the beauty from what seems like messiness and lack of clarity, are you willing to continue on the journey? What happens when we reach a point where our plans, timings, agendas etc fail? And what we are left with are simply glimpses of the picture of the future God has painted for us? Is that enough for your heart? The road less travelled is a road that is narrow. It’s easy for us to carve out lives for ourselves based on what we see others doing and what we think is expected of us etc, but these days I am learning to truly allow God use me as His canvas and paint as He wishes. The truth is, surrendering is hard. Surrendering comes at a cost, there is always cost attached to following Jesus, but it is worth it. Allow God be the potter in your life, the moulding may be difficult, challenging, stretching even, but who you are becoming is worth the shaping.
💭 Thoughts of the Week — Building Wealth
Welcome to a new segment of our newsletter, titled thoughts of the week where I share things that I have been pondering on over the week to spark conversations with you. This week’s thought of the week is inspired by the book titled ‘The Psychology of Money’. I started reading it again and it triggered my thoughts regarding what it truly means to be wealthy. Whilst I am aware that building wealth is beyond our finances, I’ll be focusing on this today. A key point the author made that stood out to me is, the why behind our purchases.
Specifically he mentioned
‘No one is impressed by your purchases as much as you are. Wealth is what you don’t see. Spending money to show people how much money you have is the fastest way to loose it’. - Morgan Housel
I had to pause when I read this as it got me thinking! What is the why behind our purchases? Do we buy items because we truly want them or to prove a point to others? It’s really easy to spend our whole lives living for others without realising it and as I get older, I’m becoming more aware of this. It’s not about how many material possessions we are able to acquire, I think it’s more so about how we are able to steward over what was placed in our hands and becoming more resourceful as individuals..

💌 A Letter to the One who Is Struggling with Their Moulding Process
—
Today’s newsletter’s message is really for anyone who has been struggling with the moulding process God is taking them through. In our newsletter last week, I spoke on how important it is to remember, that for any king to wear a crown, training has to precede reigning. In today’s newsletter, I’d like to share more on this and address the other side of the coin — navigating the uncomfortability that could come with the process God is taking us through. Let’s be honest, it can be really hard! It’s easier to hold unto control rather than surrender and let go completely to let God do as He pleases. Surrendering could mean the plans you had created down to the T have to be let down the drain. Other times it could be a complete change of location, maybe moving to a new country? Making new friends? Having uncomfortable conversations with others and ourselves? We may also realise that we need to heal from past experiences instead of masking behind false strength.
These processes can also bring us to a return. A return to our original design. Times where life has hardened us and we are unable to be who we truly know we have been created to be, there is also an opportunity to be restored. I think that’s the beautiful thing about surrendering, we let our guards down and come to terms with our fragility. In ourselves we are truly nothing without God. And it’s the place that gives room for us to partner with God. Sometimes the distinct aspect of ourselves we are meant to share with others and enables us to shine, is often what we want to hide. For example, you can be a people’s person, and be invested in the lives of others. However you can become hurt and this affects your heart posture. This pain can lead to you walking away from your greatest avenue of service, the very channel people are to experience God through you, which is why a return is necessary.
If any of this resonates with you, then this message is for you, who has been struggling to accept the processes you are passing through. You might be reading this and you’re currently navigating a lot of uncertainty maybe even lack of clarity completely and it’s okay to feel this way. In times where I feel like this, I have to remind myself that I am not meant to know every detail of how my life will turn out. When we’ve chosen to allow God have his way in our lives, we also have to accept all the turns that will come with allowing him have His way in our lives. The slower timelines, lost and gained relationships, the tests and triumphs, the delayed gratification and more. It can be hard and sometimes very daunting, but in time everything will become beautiful. When we are living our lives to truly glorify God, the timing and pace on how it unravels shouldn’t matter. This is because, the glory is for God, not us, and so He receives all the glory when His plans for our lives unfold at His appointed time. The minute we begin to feel like we have something to prove with our lives, we give room to begin to loose our souls because the focus is then on gaining more in the world and less on intimacy with God. It’s better to be fully known by God and unknown to the world than to be known to the world and unknown by God.
—
This is the road that is less travelled. It is easier to rush necessary processes required for our lives due to external pressure. But when all is said and done, the real question is, in all I have done, does my life reflect the image God had in mind when He first created me?
As always, I hope this newsletter met you where you are! Share your thoughts with me.
And if you’ll like to speak further, send me a message!
I’ll see you next week
Love,
Rhieme ♥️
“It’s better to be fully known by God and unknown to the world than to be known to the world and unknown by God.” Beautiful ✨
Hi Rhieme!
I love how your newsletters always meet us where we are at.
It’s such a good reminder because the season of our 20s are filled with so many ups and downs.
Although, are there other aspects of the road less travelled you may have experienced? And how do you cope on the road less travelled when it becomes lonely?
Thanks x 💕
