🎙️for my listeners— here you go:
A new year, a new chapter, welcome to 2025!! How are you feeling about the year so far? I shared the video below on my tik tok and it pretty much sums up how I’ve felt about the year so far, expectant, yet walking on water. Walking on water because I know going through this year, is truly a journey of faith. I spent new years in Dubai, and it was so beautiful and everything I needed. I also fell back into fiction books and started reading The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives, it’s honestly hilarious. January was a month of thinking deeply, praying, resting, reading, nurturing my soul and gradually setting clear intentions for areas of my life I want to work towards. Notion has honestly become my best friend and I am so happy I finally chose to use it to write down my thoughts, systemise & plan. It’s fantastic.

Are there nerves coming into the new year? Slightly. As it’s a year full of different possibilities. But as I’ve pondered over the last couple of weeks, I’ve had to remind myself that my sense of security should come from staying in alignment with God as opposed to having a picture perfect plan on how everything will unfold this year. And honestly, this has allowed me truly take a deep breath and let my walls down. Walking on water has always been a journey of faith, and I’m ready to.
Brick by brick, day by day, 2025 will unfold beautifully. It may not all happen exactly as we want it to, but what I know is, in God we are safe and secure.
If you’re reading this and finding it difficult to have good expectations regarding this year or maybe even recovering from blows in 2024, know that you’re not alone. I’ve come to realise that stepping into a new year doesn’t automatically mean that experiences that were left unprocessed or unhealed from previously will automatically disappear. The same way we can turn the page of a book, yet we’re still processing previous chapters. I see our lives in that way too. Yes it’s a new year, but it’s possible to see it through an old lens. This lens could look like, disappointment, pain, failure and so forth. I’ve been there before and in times when I’m struggling to see past difficult times, I’ve had to be honest with God about my experiences, feelings etc and receive His perspective through the word. Acknowledging where we are is so important. It’s okay to give yourself time to sit and grieve the experience. Healing is a journey, it’s not linear and I hope you’re able to come to a realisation that, in spite of, no experiences you pass through is wasted, your pain is not wasted and there is a beautiful expected ended for you. ♥️
Dream Again — It’s Time 👩🏽🎨
On the journey of healing also comes choosing to go again. I think something we don’t speak about often is how easy it is to coast in life when faced with disappointment. This disappointment can seep into different areas of our lives, from our relationships, expectations, opportunities etc to the point where we may stay in a place of inaction. Hope deferred truly makes the heart sick. But— there’s also a turning point. Even in the midst of waiting, can we still choose to dream? To live? Visualise? Prepare? Yes our plans don’t always unfold as we wish, but I believe there is still a place for setting actionable goals. When we partner with God, the one who truly knows the end from beginning, step by step, we’re at a huge advantage. We’re co-labouring with the one who already knows the end from the beginning. We have access to insight, blueprints tailored to our lives and so much more. Honestly, that is beautiful.
2025 has come. Another blank canvas, and we have the choice to paint or allow it remain plain, which are you choosing? This year, I’m choosing to dream, explore, research, network, develop my passion projects and use what I have in my hands now to get to what I want to see. All day by day. No pressure to rush into things, but simply build steadily. I’m encouraging you to come on this journey with me as well. 2025 is a year where favour will meet the prepared— how are we choosing to prepare? Make it practical — systemise. What are the daily actions you’re going to take to become the person you envision? What time does this person go to bed? How are your mornings spent? What books are you reading to develop your mind? I asked in my tagline for today’s newsletter can we dream and systemise? Yes we can, the two can go hand in hand.
A goal is a dream with a deadline — Napolean Hill.
We can’t control when exactly things will fall in place in our lives, but we can choose to sow seeds and in time let God bring His rain on our efforts. The harvest will be beautiful. Cheers to a year of refusing to give into passivity and making intentional choices. I hope this met you where you are, share your thoughts and one thing you’re choosing to work towards this year!

📚 ‘The Defining Decade— why your 20s Matter & How to make the most of them Now’ by Meg Jay: this is one of the best books I’ve ever read, no exaggeration. I started off the year reading it, and it is such a great read. Common themes include— growth, relationships, career tips, intentionality. A strong ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
♥️ Topicals lip balm: this has become one of my beauty essentials, it’s very moisurising and so good, trust me!
